Biography:

Seppo has a PhD in Computational Physics and has worked in the high-performance computing (HPC) field for over 20 years, as an academic, systems administrator, and HPC support engineer. He has experience working both in academia (Northeastern University, Harvard University) and in the private sector (TotalView Technologies, Pilvi Computing Inc). Seppo's academic work focused on the field of computational condensed matter physics, in particular modeling angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) of high-temperature superconductors. In 2007 Seppo was honored with the title of Docent (lifetime honorary professor) in Computational Physics by his alma mater, Tampere University of Technology, Finland.
